(This isn't really a poem but the thoughts that were instilled into my mind that will forever live on because of the seeds of love that were imprinted into my mind when I was still very young)
My Father used to tell me

My Father used to tell me
to always believe in myself
But to never be afraid of anything
Because all I had to fear was fear itself
And he always reminded me
to remember that everything
that we do in life is a gamble
He also told me that I
will have to take risks
every once in awhile
Because nothing in life is
as simple
as it may appear to be
And he warned me to be
cautious
in all of my decisions
But he also reminded me
that I must also be willing
to step
out of my own comfort
zone every once in awhile
So that I can see beyond
the big puzzle and be willing
to climb aboard the life shuttle
Because if I did it would open
new doors for me that would be
filled with
new windows of opportunity
So that all of my
dreams
could come true
Because I was able to see all the possibility's
My Father used to tell me
to believe in myself
And he was so right about so many things
and I am just glad that I had listened
to every word that he ever had to say to me
