A Prisoner of his own soul

The young man got lost on his path in life
during his youth and he became
a prisoner of his own soul
Because he was locked up in his own little world
where the good and the bad and the ugly would gather together
because that is all that mattered to him
and this caused the young man to walk down
a path to no where instead of choosing to go
down the path that was less traveled
That's the main reason why he was unable
to embrace serenity completely when he was young
Because he chose the roads that were frequently
used by everyone and that's why he was
unable to see the peace
that he could experience by going down
a different path that could release him
and set him free from the bondage that he was in
But unfortunately the young man
was never able to change his habits
when he was still very young
But as he started getting older
he started to see the light
as he began to see things more clearly
and this is when he became much wiser
then he was during his youth
Because he could plainly see that the less traveled road
was the key to his happiness and his freedom of choice
so that he no longer had to be a prisoner of his own soul
