What would my life have been like

There have been many times
through out the course of my lifetime
when I would find myself thinking about
what my life would have been like
if I would have been able to grow up
with my natural birth family

dividers

And I have often wondered
how I would be today
and if it would have changed
who I am in any way

dividers

But you see the state interfered in my life
by taking me away from my natural family when
I was just eight months of age
and it is still very painful to me to this day

dividers

And I guess I will never know why
it all happened in the way that it did

dividers

At least I had  a chance
to meet two of my sisters
who are both younger then I am
and I also had a chance to meet
one my aunts who is still alive

dividers

And I am thankful for that
because I was able to go back home
and complete the circle

dividers

But unfortunately
I was to late to have the opportunity
to meet my birth Mom and Dad
because they had both already passed on

dividers

And I have to admit that there
was never a moment
in my entire life
when I felt so  broken and lost
like I was in that very moment
when I found out that they had already died
