A messenger came to me in my dreams
to let me know that I was going in the right direction
and that as long as I stayed on the path that I was on
I would eventually find a sign post up ahead
that would lead me to Heaven
I was also warned that before I got there that I would be
tempted in every way that you could imagine
to go down a different path instead of the one that I was on
And many times along the way I reminded myself that no matter
how tempted I may be that I must continue to stay focused
on the road that was ahead of me
So that I didn't end up going in the wrong direction
Because if I did I would lose the only chance
that I would ever have to go to Heaven
And as I kept walking on the same path that I was on
I could see calming streams and beautiful butterflies and doves
and I could also see vibrant clouds up above
that looked like rainbows
And I knew in my mind that this was a sign
that right around the next bend
that I would finally able to find the sign
post up ahead called Heaven
And to my amazement I was right
because it was like walking into a botanical garden
and the sign was as bright as could be and I could clearly see
that I was glad that I couldn't be tempted to go in a different direction
But unfortunately this is when I woke up from my dream
and believe me if I had my way I would have preferred
to stay in my dream for an eternity in Heaven
(Dreams will always remain a mystery to me because I find myself thinking
about what the meaning is behind each and everyone of them)
