I can still remember all the wonderful times(Music by Silent Garden-Silence speaks)

I can still remember all the wonderful times

When my Mom and Dad earned there wings and went to Heaven
Thanksgiving has never been the same

But at least I can still remember all the wonderful times
and all the beautiful memories that we shared together back then

The house would always be filled with
beautiful decorations

And this was a time when the whole family
would be back together again

So it was always a big celebration

Mom would be in the kitchen
waiting for the turkey to be done
that was filled with home made stuffing

And Dad would be sitting in his easy chair
where he always sat during this time of year
and the rest of us would sit in the living room
with him waiting for the game to begin
so that we could all watch football on the television

But when the turkey was finally done
we would all gather around in the dining room
and we would say a prayer together
and then we would all start eating
while we all enjoyed a casual conversation

But very few words were usually said

Because we were all way to busy eating

And when we all finally got done eating

Mom would bring out
the pies that she had baking in the oven

And she always made them the old fashion way

I usually ate the apple pie
and my brother loved the pumpkin pie

And Dad would eat his apple pie
with two scoops of ice-cream

And then when we were all done eating

We would all sit in the living room
so that we could watch the football game

And then when the game finally came to an end

We would all give each other hugs
and say our goodbyes
and then we would all go home

I wish that I could relive those days
all over again when Mom and Dad were still around

But at least I can still remember all the wonderful times

and all the beautiful memories that we shared together back then
