A Darkened Vision
In the calm of my days,
I will be going through;
Into a darkened maze,
Where just evil will brew.
The rest of all my years,
Have been taken away;
And now are filled with fears,
Because I had to stray.
I stepped in sinking sand,
While tasting some sin;
Now I not see the land,
Where the living is in.
I will not see the Lord,
He no longer knows me;
And I have been ignored,
The crying in my plea.
Crying out in my pain,
Because I feel the grief,
Never can I again,
Able to have relief.
For the faith that I lack,
To turn away from Him;
Jesus now turns His back,
Whether I sink or swim.
