Come and gone

Every now and then your mind starts wandering
into different places and times



And you start thinking about everything



That has already come and gone in your life time



Some of your memories were really good ones
that could never be forgotten



And then there are other memories
that are just faded images in your mind



That really aren't worth remembering



But through the course of your reflections
you realize just how far you have come and gone
and you are thankful that you are still alive and breathing



Because you are one of the lucky ones to still be around
