By the lake

(We  truly enjoyed our visit to the lake today
because it was so calming and relaxing
and it is a shame that we don't get out that often
but we were really glad that we did go out to the lake today
because it was such a wonderful experience
to have been able to experience a little bit of peace and tranquility)

An old man was standing by the lake close to the fountain
and the closer that we got to him we could hear him singing

dividers

He had a big plastic bag in one hand and a loaf of bread in the other
and you could tell the he was enjoying himself while he was feeding
all the ducks and the seagulls and the swans that were all around him

dividers

And you could tell that it was something that he did every morning
because you could see all the joy in his eyes while he was smiling

dividers

The birds would fly around him in circles and every time that he threw some more
bread out all the birds would come down to enjoy the bread that they were eating

dividers

And then they would fly in circles all over again
until the next feeding

dividers

The old man kept pulling out more loaves of bread
and then we understood why he was singing

dividers

Because you would think that it was his
first time feeding all the birds
just like he did when he was just a little boy
and that alone was amazing
