Holding the Key
I will give God my love,
He will give me my strength;
Blessings flow from above,
Letting me go the length.
For the Lord is my rock,
A fortress by the sea;
The gate may have a lock,
But He gave me the key.
I put my faith in Him,
The horn of salvation;
Although things may look grim,
I sound jubilation.
And sending up a cry,
Unto our Lord God;
Giving a joyous sigh,
When I honor and laud.
For He is to be praised,
No matter how is life;
Rejoicing voice be raised,
Even though faced with strife.
The cords of death surround,
The evil sea strikes fear;
But it will not confound,
Since I know God is near.
