Fighting for the freedom of our nation

Our service men and women
wandered aimlessly
into unchartered territory
with some uncertainty
and a whole lot of bravery

Because they believed
that it was there duty
to fight for freedom
and for God and country

And when there tour was done

Some of them came back home
and they were welcomed back
with open arms

And some of them never made it home

And for the warriors that did
survive they all attempted
to reclaim there lives
and there own identity

Yet it has been so
difficult for them
since they have been home

Because they still have to live with
all of the memories of the fallen heroes
who lost there lives fighting for freedom
Just like they did

But some of them didn't
get to come home

And my heart felt feelings go out
to all the families who have lost
there loved ones in war
God bless each and every one of them

And for all the
service men and woman
who have survived
I salute you for your bravery

And I commend
each and every one you
for fighting for the freedom
of our nation
