A lasting impression

Long after my day
is done



When nightfall
returns
and my night
is nearing an end



I find myself
thinking
about everyone



Especially about the ones
who have come and gone
through out the course
of my life time



And I remind myself
how fortunate I was
to have met them



Because I was touched
in a special way
by so many of them



Because they left me
with a lasting impression
of the times that I was
able to share with them



And even though they
may have come and gone



They will never be forgotten
