Two toes and wagging tail

Two toes and wagging tail
run around the yard
like there is no tomorrow
They bask in the sun for awhile
and then they start playing together
And they sure can be
mischievous at times
Especially on garbage
day when the garbage
man comes around
And two toes and wagging tail
will let it be known that they
will stand there ground
by barking and running
around in circles until
the garbage man is finally gone
And when the day
is nearing an end
they will eat and drink
with each other
And then they will continue to play
with each other until the day is almost over
And by the time the day
does come to an end
they will both be
all worn out
and they will lay down
and they will sleep together
And when the sun rises again
the following morning
Two toes and wagging tail
are ready to repeat
everything all over again
Because any time that they
can get to play outside
is like being
in doggy Heaven to them
