The person that I used to know

I can tell that life
has truly
been hard on you
through out the years



Because it shows
with every line
that is on your face
and in the sadness
that is in your eyes
and also through the
sounds of your voice



I just wish that there
was something that
I could do



So that I could
be able to bring
back the person
that I used to know



But all I can do
for you right now
is to continue to
to pray for you
and to hope
that my prayers
will be answered
some day



So that you can finally
get back to being
the person that
I used to know
