Why Stray
Whatever has come first,
Which came to our ears;
And could have been coerced,
With causing growing fears.
We saw with our eyes,
Touching with our hands;
But deceit and the lies,
Are merely like the sands.
Putting faith in those things,
Other than as God said;
Loving what the earth brings,
Worshiping it instead.
Unto us comes His Word,
Telling us how to live;
For mistakes He has heard,
God is set to forgive.
But we continue life,
Traveling the wrong way;
And keep encounter strife,
With desire to stray.
Why is it difficult,
In doing what is right;
Through prayer for a consult,
On guidance to the light.
