The good Lord will be by our side

Just as the sun rises in the morning
and the moon returns
as the darkness appears with nightfall
The journey of life continues
its cycles of seasons of
Winter Spring and Summer and Fall
And through our journey in life
we learn many lessons along the way
and some times the only way
that we can learn from them
is to learn our lessons the hard way
Because when we are young we are so naive
about the real world that is right outside of our door
And when we do step out into the world
on our own we will meet some people
who will mislead us
and we will learn about all the wrong things
But some how through the mistakes that we make
we do tend to become wiser as time goes by
So that we don't have to keep making
the same mistakes over and over again
Because there will come a time when
we will have learned our lessons
And then we start to realize that everything
that we had gone through when we were young
wasn't all that it was cut out to be
Because we were so foolish
to see the reality of everything
And that's when we start
to reflect on things
in a completely different way
Because we begin to realize
that there are so many other things in life
that are more important and that's when we wake up
And when we do wake up the good Lord
always finds a way to intervene in our lives
Because he loves each and every one of us
unconditionally
And that is why he helps us to open up our eyes
so that we can start doing things differently
Because he wants us to live our lives
in a completely different way
So that we can move forward
and be able to handle the ups and the downs
that life will bring our way
and also have the faith to know
that there will be storms on the horizon
But this to shall pass
Because the good Lord will be
by our side to guide us every step of the way
