The coffee is brewing
like it does every morning



And while you are waiting
for it to get done



You open your curtains up



So that you can see the darkness
fade away and watch the sun
as it starts rising at the break of dawn



Like you do every morning



Because it is a beautiful way
to start your day



And like clock work



You sit in your easy chair
sipping on some coffee
out of your coffee cup



Until you finish the last drop



So that you can finally wake up
and enjoy the rest of your day
