To my lovely son Donald on his 32nd birthday. Love you always will Mum xxx
I sang sweet lullabies for you
Hour on hour to help you through
Gently danced around the room
When you slept, I put you doon
How you charmed all those you met
Son I never will forget
Those special days when you were wee
Singing `What will be, will be`.
So proud I am of you today
Music part of all you say
Writing songs which touch the soul
Making broken others whole
Go on my boy you`ve earned your place
In this mostly human race
Keep on singing throughout time
So glad ma boy that you are mine
Thirty-two years now have gone
Since I sang your birthday song
Now you carry on from here
Making music year on year
Have a happy day my son
Remember too that you`re still young
I will finish on that note
The best in life, you have My Vote
