A restful pair of arms
A restful pair of arms around me
No questions asked, to stress or to tax
A quiet space within protective arms
Is all I need to relax
An evening of solitude
Together in moonlight's calm
My spirit calls out for sanctuary
A place where no-one can do me harm
My soul cries out for grace
Is there someone out there
Someone just to hold me
in a loving embrace?
Must I keep on ever searching
For one such as this?
Will I never be able
To find solace and bliss?
Must I endure forever
Not being held within a loving touch
Am I being overly selfish to even ask this?
Or is it all just too much!
