The reasons behind my silence

I hope you can understand
The reasons behind my silence
Because I feel like I have been
cast out into the lonely sea
and deep into the abyss
to deal with my own sadness
And that's the main reason why
I find it extremely difficult
to express my deepest thoughts
and my emotions with you
Because I honestly feel like
I have been living on broken promises
and dreams that will never come true
For the time being I hope and pray
that the good Lord will watch over you
