If you knew

If you knew the actual state
of mind that I have been in
You would have some kind
of an understanding
of what I have been
going through all this time
And to be honest with you
it is not that easy to explain
But I will do the best that I can
And hopefully you will be able to understand
how hard it has been living each day without
anyone else around
Because I am hardly ever around anyone
But I will admit that every now and then
I will venture out to the local stores
where I know everyone
Just so that I can
feel like I am a human being again
And I may not venture out that often
but when I do
at least I can talk to someone
But you know it is nothing like
having you around
And it probably never will be
And I just want you to know
that I do think about you often
Because I do miss my
lover and my best friend
And now that you know
I hope that you can understand
the state of mind that I have been in
