In this life I have found

In this life I have found
That it is not the things
that I do for myself
that really matters
What does matter even more
is the great comfort
that I get in comforting
other people
who truly need comforting
By either lending them a hand
or just giving
them a shoulder to lean on
Because through my
own acts of kindness
and my unselfish ways
I truly feel blessed
and rewarded
for all of my efforts
Beyond anything that
I could have ever imagined
