Why did the good times never seem to last
Because we could have enjoyed the moments
And all of the special memories
That we were able to share between us
For a little bit longer before they had to pass
But now after all this time that has past
My loneliness is just hitting the surface
And I really don't know if anything
can ever be the same between us
Because I was left behind
to deal with all of this sadness
Yet if anything ever can be the same
Then that will just have to be Gods choice
