GREETINGS TO FRIENDS OF KAREN AND KAREN'S KLASSICS

It saddens my heart to announce the passing of our beloved and dear friend, Karen who built this website for all of us to visit. She had a God given gift for writing poetry and to touch the hearts of everyone who read her work. She had a unique way of drawing you into whatever she penned and the beauty you could see in every word and turn of phrase. She had different styles of writing, whether it be rhyme, meter or freestyle, the results were always the same, she touched your heart and your mind with imagination, love, inspiration and the feeling that you were blessed to have been here and couldn't wait to see what was next in her repertoirpe.

Her last entries on this site was to let all of you know that she had been diagnosed with Cancer and that she had decided against any treatment so that she could spend her remaining days with her daughter and grandchildren with whom she was living. Regrettably those days were not as long as we all had hoped for. She went home to be with the LORD on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at their home in California. As you know she wrote often about her family and has posted photos of them here on her pages. On her behalf and the behalf of her loving family, I would like to extend thanks for all your support, love and friendship that you have shown Karen over the years here on her home away from home. Karen enjoyed writing so much and loved to share what God had given to her with others. She enjoyed witnessing for HIM and sharing HIS word and mostly HIS love for her and all of HIS children no matter where they were from or their church affiliation.

If you would like to relay your condolences to Karen's family, you may do so in her Guest book here on Karen's Klassics. I will let her daughter know that she may find them there. I am sure she would appreciate you taking the time to do so and they will mean so much to her and her family.

As a close friend to Karen and her webmistress here on Karen's Klassics, She will be missed so greatly not only by myself but by all who knew her and enjoyed her friendship and her beautiful works of art penned with the help of her Father in Heaven with whom she is abiding with now. She spoke of that going home day so often in her writings. February 6, 2010 will always be a day of Celebration for Karen. If she could tell us anything now, I am sure she would just say like she always did, "Remember U R Loved".....and "See you when you get home!"

God bless all who enter here, Shy

GREETINGS AND WELCOME TO MY LITTLE PLACE
IN THE WORLD ~ KAREN'S KLASSICS ~

HAPPY FIFTH ANNIVERSARY!!!!

In Iowa, March came in like a little lamb~~~
and is headed out like a roaring lion!
As this site's anniversary draws near
it's time to reflect on five years of
friendships, sharing, and caring!

YES INDEED, APRIL FOOL IS THE DAY
THIS SITE WAS STARTED~~~
WHO WOULD HAVE EVER THOUGHT
SO MANY FRIENDS WOULD HAVE BEEN MADE,
SO MANY PEOPLE WOULD HAVE VISITED,
SO MANY POEMS HAVE BEEN WRITTEN~~~

And who could have imagined
the loves and the losses we would bear?
But, through it all, there still remains
Those things I know to be true~~~~~~

THREE THINGS I KNOW FOR CERTAIN:

LOVE IS ETERNAL
GOD IS IN ALL THE DETAILS OF LOVE
LOVE IS THE ANSWER; NO MATTER WHAT THE QUESTION

So let me say, once again,
God Bless and remember.............
U R Loved
