A New Beginning
Just a few days ago
Life as you know it came to an end
All things have changed
That your new life may begin
On that exciting day
You walked across that stage
You picked up your reward
Just like other kids your age.
Now that that day is over
You've moved into adulthood
Everything has changed
Just as we both knew it would
You moved into this new life
Eager to fulfill all your goals
How well you will do
No one really knows
But let no one or nothing
Stand in your way
As you begin this new life
That you started on that great day.
You can do all you want
And go places you've never been
Just make sure you are happy
When it all comes to an end.
Let no one, not even me,
Tell you what you can't do
Your success and happiness
Is all left up to you.
A few days ago
It did not come to an end
You just arrived at a time
For a chance to start over again
So be blessed
In all you attempt to do
And use all the talents
That the Good Lord has given you
