Holly- wholly other By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
It happens:
When chaos, riots, killings; violence
crash into our lives as uninvited, unwelcome intruders
as wholly "other,"
foreign, distant and alien, to what we think, should or could be
in that instant, as non participating observers
peering down, trying to make sense of what seems to have none
we get a glimpse of the
Holy Ones wholly other perspective of us
A Holiness not as an exclamation mark of judgment as much as
a gentle gracious question mark
wondering why would you chose to be this way
with an all powerful Holy Innocence,
but powerless to understand
ever longing to change
yet unable
to simultaneously
occupy space
which has already been claimed
