Riptide II By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
I wonder if someone, too, has been cut through by the riptide
The ocean consuming everything, reality blurring out of sight
Amongst the deep blue, there was nowhere within where you could hide
I was taken away by the tide, drowning in lonely gasping rhymes
No, there's no punchline
No room for doubt in a room that has no shine
Everything suddenly encompasses over this focus to survive
By any means necessary, you will come victorious in this fight
Even if it means cutting monuments, cutting yourself, cutting anything that resembles a shrine
To which I learned attackers dwell inside the biggest of palaces nearby
Which means I didn't care about anything, just as long as you and I survived
Because if by any means you didn't, I will have surrendered my life
Your absences means that my woes will be unheard even as I die
