Broken Roses
A broken heart, a flower crushed
So much pain in this world surrounding us
But your strength and beauty cannot be denied
It emanates from what you've truly got inside
Even when you're down somehow you still rise
Up towards the heavens into bright filled skies
Radiating like a diamond glistening like a gem
Waiting for someone to find what you have within
Overcoming all adversity learning to be tough
Because there is no mercy on the journey up
Rediscovering your beauty, rediscovering your strength
Proving you're more than what others may think
So when you're down and out and you're feeling low
Know that a heart can mend and a broken rose can still grow...

Is the way life goes for many of us
Growing up with heartache in a life filled with rain
Having faith that soon the sun will shine again
From my heart I express these spoken words that I chose
