Silent Hero

The city groans in pain,
Another arrow to the heart;
Someone has added to the evil
That needs no more fuel.
Why do we cause each other pain,
Why can't see see the Angel
That dances in our Souls,
Why don't we recover Eden
From the dark streets of our metropolis?
Women degenerate, men so violent,
Children growing up too soon;
Where is the innocence we have lost,
Where have all the fairies gone,
Fled from the abuse of their name,
Gone to the few meadows left?

Why do you weep in your lonely house
Why do you long for something better?
The gateway to Heaven is in the heart,
Try to find it, try to live it.

Outside the rain is falling,
It is like a symphony to you,
The amber street lights
Reflect from wet pavements
And you smile at the ambience,
At the visions that touch you
As they did when you were a child.

Nothing is ever lost to us,
Only covered by veils of thought
Encrusted on our minds by city images,
Chasing after goals that don't exist,
Losing our focus and our dreams.

Turn your heart to the Divine,
Awaken the sleeping child
And the hero will come to save you;
He will take you to a mystic world
Where everything is Eternally Bright
And we will always feel at ease.
