If We Were Left In Charge #404

If We Were Left In Charge

How very loving of the Father
to hold each sphere in space
and not to think it's such the bother
as we might in His place …

Oh, could you dare imagine, if we were left in charge,
how very strange the worlds might change ...
The impacts would be large!

Why make “Red” a planet? My favorite color's Green.
And why can't we just mix things up?
The round stuff's way routine!
Like, perhaps, a square planet
or maybe a square sun?
Hey, let's make earth isosceles!
Now, that would be some fun.
And why all the restrictions?
Just let them planets fly!!!
Why they'll just land where they need land …
Don't worry! They'll get by!
Oh, Look! That planet's scary and that one's sprung a leak
and that one looks like buttered toast …
Ummm, I got hungry late last week.

Oh, yes, our Father's loving
to hold each sphere in space
and not to think it's such the bother
as we might in His place.
