How Many Days? How many days have I to live to give the things I love to give; A lover's kiss? A warm hello? A friendly hug to those I've known? A tear of hope? A leap for joy? A gentle smile with “It's a boy!?” A needed call? A soft reply? A “Missed you too…?” A long “Good-bye?” A playful walk? A bride's debut? A hand let go with said, “I do's?” A secret kept? A tale to tell? An “I'm so glad I've known you well?” A “Bye for now?” A greeted nod? A “Welcome home!?” A wink for God…? “How many days,” I ask of You, “Have I to give what I've loved to?” |
