When I was ill
When I was ill
And was in the hospital
I waited for some one
To visit me in the hospital
I was not having anyone
Other than my daughter
No friends or relatives
To visit me in the hospital
I felt sad and lonely
I watched the other people
And I witnessed many people
Come to visit them in the hospital
I thought of going back
To my family &friends
Then I thought of my daughter
Being alone over here
I do not want my daughter
To be alone in this place
Far away from me and I
Decided to stay with her
If I am sick or ill
She will be there for me
To help me to assist me
To nurture me and care for me
