She was the new girl next door
Too cute for a boy to ignore
I was too shy and she coy
Mom and Dad said, "Could your boy?"
Someone had broke into their home
She could not come home alone
The story was the renter now in jail
Had something he left behind
Would take her home watch her get mail
Check all the openings unlatch front door
Someone one day a broken a window to get in
I checked each door and window in the end
Everything secure I opened the front door
She went in and I hear a screaming roar
It was Halloween eve the day I won't forget
I found her on the floor in tears she had set
I rushed inside she said hold me tight
And I looked around both left and right
There appeared blood on the floor a scary sight
We looked up to the attic lid part open
A bloody hand protruded the edge was slooping
And from the hand more blood was dropping
We in terror ran outside there was no stopping
But I knew a mere boy, a man, I must go back inside
Carrying a bat I looked near and wide
Something in my being fearful cried
With a broom I pried away the attic door
The hand fell and splashed upon the floor
She followed standing by my side and fainted away
I will never forget the fear I knew that day
The police came said I should stay away
For there would be more trouble in that house that day
This is a true story. One Halloween eve
I cannot forget It send chills up my spine yet.
My new friend had an Uncle who thought it funny
and wore a hook and faked hand a Halloween prank
So funny on Halloween eve to scare this girl.
Later in the evening Halloween over I heard loud
shouting and the breakage of class. The Uncle
flew out the window followed by a shotgun blast
The police came next morning the house was vacant
The new girl never came back not even to move
I have never been as afraid on Halloween as I
was that night someone Halloween turn on the light
