The Drifter...Part Five...."the last one".

It was overcast and black, as the drifter turned his back,
Walk off into the night, his eyes shining with delight;
Expectation of this journey, mulled around is mind so weary;
Thinking ,what if it don't fall my way? Alone forever I will stay;

The December wind was biting, while the damsel stood under the orange street lighting;
Waiting at the station, for the man who could be her salvation;
She  nervously  rubbed her hands, as he walked up from the taxi stand;
Her heart was beating swifter, as he threw his arms around and kissed her

She held him like no other, as they bordered the train together,
The Coniston waters were calling, in love they both  were falling;
A weekend of intense consummation, not sleeping for the duration.
This cottage hideaway, forever they wanted to stay..................
