Melancholy Day
Sadly looking teary-eyed out my window
on this gray misty November day
over hills and horizons leaves blow
winds sweep them away
Leaves are falling all around
gently quietly leaving
landing on silent ground
my poor heart's grieving
Leaves trampled by shuffling feet
I'm feeling down and humble
birds in sky cry and tweet
leaves fall and crumble
On this gray misty November day
an emptiness fills my heart
dark fluffy rolling clouds stay
colorful crushed leaves depart
Watercolors can't get enough of
trees will stand alone, stripped bare
once colorful curly top trees reaching above
scattered leaves in air everywhere
It's nature's way
tomorrow autumn's sun will gather smiles
sunlight shortened by day
leaves of autumn raked into piles
