Misunderstood
You broke his heart the night you told him the truth
and you lost your family because
they never understood you
hiding from the things you fear
trying your best to break out of those chains
that have bound you over the years
misunderstood just trying your best
you said if you were in my shoes
you would do exactly what I do
I think you are running because you don't want to face
who you are
if you would just realize it's okay to be gay
if people don't love you the same they
never truly loved you anyway
because if you think you are misunderstood you are really not
you are just you there is reason to stop being you.
