The Climb
I sit her in reflection
of the years gone
wondering of what changes
could bring what I so long
Keeping in with what is me
The determination of the heart
to remain true and loving
is where I must make my start
While life will trip me up
back upon my feet I must stand
look adversity square in the eye
knowing God has my hand
Loves have come and gone
but to give up
well that will never happen
I will wait for that full cup
That mountain of life
that is faced everyday
I will struggle over
not give up and walk away
I never know what awaits
on the other side
It is my destiny
so I patch up my pride
To give up the hope
of a love of my own
Well I will never do
I don't like the alone
I have much to offer
I have needs to fill
This mountain of life
my spirit will not be still
Each day promises
things fresh and new
Maybe tomorrow
It will be you
Maybe....
