the plan
the plan (poem)
You're just another customer You are a fortune to my solitude
Another phone call Another love
I'm supposed to breathe in I'm supposed to breath in
And then exhale “I'm sorry you feel that way” And then exhale “I love you too”
After that, our call disconnects Then, our souls connect
And I'm supposed to forget who you are, And I imprint my entity with your memory
and that I ever even spoke to you. and create a stain of eternal love and devotion
That's the plan. That's the plan.
To do it just like I do my job at the call center. To do it just like the novels, just like the movies.
If it ever comes down to this, that is the plan. If it ever comes down to this, that is the plan.
To brainwash you away from my memory. To forever seal your love upon my heart.
