The choke of the drown slowing my growth down just like cigarettes;
addicted to the nicotine inhaled through lungs.
The eagle soars solo through light blue skies
and rest underneath shinning bright stars,
while the moon illuminates the night's reign;
when flocks frolic,
some believe it to be a lonely path;
By far alone is better than problems at home;
tempted by birds of desire,
unable to deny the touch stuck in lover's lust;
scared of the king cobra's clutch;
Through the tribulations and trials I've traveled for miles;
defiled the passionate
and reprised the distrustful with pros in verse
dispensed from a profane mindframe;
for years these phrases and words have been ignored,
but in 2009 this analytical voice has been heard over the commotion
of the crowd without uncontrolled emotions;
offered promotion,
but my devotion is loyal to the only true Creator,
therefore my faith can never be shaken;
as my spiritual pilgrimage continues,
visions and premonitions pass through my prism
blessing me with daily lessons
that keep me mentally prepared for the constant testing
of my morals and ethics by demons with soul stealing weapons;
so I carry my holly shield and wear my full armor of God
which protects my soul while on bent knees!
