Penciled Thoughts
Earth bound
Earth bound
The sun chased away the rain clouds
Causing the steam to rise from the ground
The birds came out of their cover
And would sing and fly around
The children were coming out to play
In the water that hid the mud
While the flowers begin to open
Changing from those little buds
Mom stood at the kitchen window
Tearfully watching the children play
She was so glad when their father left
He did not take the kids away
In the trees there came a whisper
Of the wind so soft and weak
And the voice of Mother Nature
Began to moaned and softly speak
She cried because of the way she was treated
All her precious things she cherished
And all the things that were created
Could be used up or have perished
The sun kept shining though the clouds
Brought the children to their knees
They were happy and with some laughter
They planted one more little tree
The sun chased away the rain clouds
Causing the steam to rise from the ground
The birds came out of their cover
And would sing and fly around
The children were coming out to play
In the water that hid the mud
While the flowers begin to open
Changing from those little buds
Mom stood at the kitchen window
Tearfully watching the children play
She was so glad when their father left
He did not take the kids away
In the trees there came a whisper
Of the wind so soft and weak
And the voice of Mother Nature
Began to moaned and softly speak
She cried because of the way she was treated
All her precious things she cherished
And all the things that were created
Could be used up or have perished
The sun kept shining though the clouds
Brought the children to their knees
They were happy and with some laughter
They planted one more little tree
