Oh Lord see how smart we all are,
We have the means to travel far.
We can build rockets that fly into space
Perform intricate surgery on our human race
Develop new potions that can kill or revive
Place the dead on machines to keep them alive
Invent strong and powerful weapons of war
Uphold the rules and regulations of law
Live and learn the requests of society
Hold faith in our rulers and what they decree
But Lord understand these measures we carve
See us build the rockets while other lives starve
Rebuild the body for what its worth
For we are slowly killing our mother earth
We need no new potions or clever machines
We should learn to live within our means
And start to look after what still remains
Before our losses exceed our gains
Then Lord we will cry out unto you
Why didn't you stop us if you always knew
The qualities and perfection's that we are pursuing
Will be the completion of our own undoing
So Lord in your Grace, reach out your hand
And guide us in saving our precious land
For we are but mortal and not so smart
Please grant us the knowledge to make a fresh start
