Darkened rooms

Hushed repression

Colouring out of lines

Scribbled aggression

Dare not speak

Keep it inside

Holding my truths

And secrets I hide

Glimpse of a light

Peeking through dismay

Try touching once

And it goes away

This simple rhyme

Grossly out of tune

Terribly misaligned

Dark words consume

So cast your daggers

Or draw your shades

Peek a boo's laugh

As the sunset fades

Humanity flawed

Condition's obscene

Ignorance exudes

Are we all this mean?

Go ahead take aim

Painful arrows try

Don't you realize

Our spirits will cry?
