We, us, you, me,
together we are, but apart while we sleep;
peering at your silhouette, slowly my brain
begins to sweat, does she know, will she ever find out,
nah i cover my tracks like a sneaky cat;
look how calm and relaxed, breathing normally, oh!
rapid eye movement, she must be dreaming,
check out her unique smile, i wonder what's happening now
in her dream's image, is she draped in gold
standing next to her king in the land of Ancient Kemit, or
is she dreaming of her lover who's the exact opposite of me;
nah...she'd never fathom abusing our love,
I'm trippin, she's my Queen, the mother of our future seeds;
as her eyelids slowly lift, i realize she's my dream, thank you
God for placing her first string on my team;
"were you staring at me while i slept?"
"of course, i was admiring your physique and thinking
how much i love laying next to you under satin sheets"
my husband lays there sweating in his sleep;
drenching his side of the bed cause nervously
he wonders do i know about his early morning creeps;
i love him, but can't stand him; women adore my man,
children pretend he's their dad, but watching his
stanking as@, peacefully sleeping, makes me think, let me
grab his cell phone and take a swift peek;
oh it's locked, but his password i already figured out;
he's so predictable, that's why i secretly call him simple
as i scroll through, there's text from chicks i hardly know;
he's mentioned them all before, that's his way of covering his tracks;
little does he know i have their numbers sketched in my mental Rolodex;
nothing foul in his messages, but i know he's a dawg, it's tatted on his arm
so I'm constantly on guard, praying that i never catch him doing wrong;
now it's funny, i lock my phone, but i know she knows my code,
i sleep light, so i know she's going through it, she truly believes
I'm super stupid, it's all good, i knew i shouldn't have ever trusted her,
going through my phone, when all i do is go to work and come home;
the suspicious are usually guilty, so i guard my heart and wait for
the truth to come to the light, open my eyes, now she's acting surprised.
"why are you going through my phone?"
"oh i was looking for a number", an all out blatant lie,
"oh, okay baby, God's night and i will catch you on the otherside."
