Liz's Poems

Invisible

She tries to make her family proud
But no matter what she does they don't notice her.

Everyday she wakes up
Wanted to be in the spotlight
For just one moment.

She has hobbies.
She is creative
But why don't they notice.

What does she have to do?
Why can't they see her?

Even at school no one sees her.
No one talks to her.

She feels like she is in darkness alone
And unwanted.

Her family is separated and torn
So is her heart.

She has no one that listens to her.
She has no one to tell anything.

She has one thing that helps
But everyone thinks it is wrong.

Why is cutting so bad?
Why is everyone freaking out?

She isn't hurting anyone else.
She is only hurting herself.

She isn't important.
No one needs her.

Some days she feels like ending it all.
Some days she feels like letting the darkness take her.

Everyone says it's not a big deal
But no one knows what she is going through.

Why can't people understand?
Why am I misunderstood?

She is tired of being ignored.
She is tired of being in the darkness.

Now it is time to stop it all.
She is leaving everyone behind.
