lady liberty

the statue in the harbour stands so proud and tall
she stands for liberty and freedom for us all
standing in the bay for everyone to see.
sending out her message now this land is free
surrounded by the water as proud she can be
this graceful work of art they call liberty.
holding up her torch to guide us on our way
watching over us in the new york bay
