Shadows of Former Self
Faces and places
Lives half done
Remnants of yesterday
Already gone
Memory long term
Serves well inside
Childhood recalls
That cannot hide
‘Once Upon a Time'
Simpler days afar
Watch morphing skies
Where ‘ere you are
Shadows of self
Lives already full
Running into the morrows
There is no other place I'd rather be…..
that's right... there is no rhyme in this place
There is no reason
There are no dreams
Just a destined reality
