An Exhortation to Learn
Give an ear to the Law,
Of the words from my tongue;
That does deal with your flaw,
And about to be flung.
From the sayings of old,
Which we have heard and know;
That our fathers told,
Not hidden as kids grow.
To tell is what we need,
Of miraculous things;
And about each great deed,
The power of God brings.
For wonders He has done,
Even to allow the birth;
Of His begotten Son,
And sacrificed on earth.
So we can now confess,
Through His Son for the sin,
And assured God will bless,
For us be cleansed within.
That which now gives us hope,
And be blessed through remorse;
We see a wider scope,
For changing our course.
