Teeth
As a child of tender age
With strong jaw; full of gum
I chew more bones
This makes me grow
To clean I don't so much care
I swallow all my fear
I consume so much sugar
In gum, cane or honey
All my gums grow weaker
In my teens, the decay is dear
With a pain that made me fear
I consume herbs thinking they care
Without thinking I took more tablets
The pain increase while I pay more dollar
As the night grow older
The teeth grow weaker
More, at times I can chew kola
For a long time my fear grow bigger
When a dentist examine my sorrow
To extracts yields horror
In tears I lost two pairs
Thinking hard I lost my jeers
Some years later I lost more pairs
Most of the nights I morn my fears
Of old age with no teeth to chew
For the dentist cure only few
Teeth! I lament with my marrow
It will not go till tomorrow.
