That Ship Sailed Some Time Ago
Given the many years since last we sailed
My Heart on land has aged and paled
Of love that sailed some time ago
But here in heart for her bells toll
They ring to bring all ships that come
To where loves lost and heartbreaks won
Another soul who bares the sign
Of sighs, her name in heart of mine
She was grand in scope and with all hope
She sailed away and like a soap
She'd not return to bring her smile
That made me whole if for awhile
I still walk to that cliff today
That oversees the sea that plays
Against all odds where eyes mine tear
That sunk all hope with love endeared
We still look to refuge on land
This man of old, this soul where hands
Are felt today with scent her own
That left loves mark on heart mine stone
