...Unconditional...

When someone helps you all the time,
And they don't care what they have to do,
Then this is unconditional love, it is,
And that caring and love shines through!
When that someone has to do all the work,
The cleaning, washing, shopping and more,
Never complain, never moan, and never say no,
And go into it eyes wide open and know the score.

When this has to be done and other stuff too,
Personal things to help a person like me,
Me, who can't do much, nope, not at all,
Then you know this is unconditional you see.
And apart from all that, there's my pain,
A rough pain that's so out of sight,
But he even rubs my spine and more,
To help to ease it so I can sleep at night.

But then, I have to be honest and say,
I don't sleep much at night at all,
With a pain so vast and deep, it's bad,
But even then, all I have to do is call!
But in truth I don't even have to do that,
Because when I am awake, so is he,
Rubbing my back before I have to say,
That's unconditional love again, you see!

And so because I don't sleep at night,
My poor hubby doesn't sleep much at all,
And if it happens that he's asleep,
All I have to do, as I say, is call!
And then of a morning when I am asleep,
He's up at the crack of dawn, oh yes!
Cleaning all of this bungalow of ours,
Then brings me each morning, my breakfast!

So not much sleep, and up the wall with me,
But he has never lost his cheery smile,
Say's he loves me just as I am,
Though I have him up the wall all the while!
And all the things the world doesn't see,
That goes on behind closed doors,
Well this is a peep into our home,
And a peep at the husband I adore!

And that's gota be love, unconditional!!
