In This My Sin
In arms bulky appears her face
Seen from a distance in strong embrace
That wish were mine but cannot be
This moment ours, this sin in me
No content, sexual in mind
But sin no less, moment in time
Is what I have become for now
A carnal man that would be proud
To love again and hold briefly
In arms barren I hold discreetly
Love not mine but his today
To GOD again I give now way
But thoughts in heart sometimes persist
What it would feel if we could kiss
If just once I'm sure I'd miss
What would be brief but also bliss
Forgive me father. I've overstepped
The boundaries my heart has kept
Dormant for years but none the less
It's still a sin upon heart pressed
In her eyes stands our reflection
When speak we do sincere intentions
Is all I have, this moment blind
That flees quickly in hand with time
In this my sin, today confessed
I stand accused a soul no less
Who lives a dream, moment in time
That wishes for what can't be mine
So bend we will my knees and will
To God this sweet but bitter pill
That wakes the dead inside a heart
Who knows these thoughts in us must part
